All these preparations and questions during the recruitment process are about removing as many unknowns as possible.
The very notion of a bespoke individualised experience or programme is that it will be just that. There is no one-size-fits-all approach and every outcome or interaction is a possible one.
Whilst this is exciting and perhaps daunting territory to work within, it can generate more questions… more uncertainties and that’s okay. We are all trying and learning together to sit comfortably in not knowing.
One of the key drivers for the Talent Hub is that there isn’t a pathway that exists within our limited frameworks for dancers with a learning disability or autism to step out of a community dance context and into professional careers. The ability to listen and respond accordingly and appropriately is vital.
